COMMUNITY
Community advocacy means showing up when something needs to change. My work has ranged from education and youth advocacy to quality-of-life issues affecting my neighborhood—organizing, speaking up, and working directly with city leadership to get results.
NEIGHBORHOOD ADVOCACY
My advocacy has been rooted in turning frustration into action—organizing neighbors, creating awareness, confronting quality-of-life issues, engaging city agencies and pushing for lasting solutions.
Sometimes leadership starts with a title. Sometimes it starts with a flyer.
GRASSROOTS ADVOCACY
Faced with a persistent rat and sanitation problem in my neighborhood, I began organizing—creating flyers, connecting with neighbors, cleaning problem areas, documenting conditions, and pushing city agencies for solutions.
Flyers used to raise awareness and mobilize the neighborhood.
Overflowing garbage had become a regular sight.
In 2023, I brought NYC’s Rat Czar directly to the neighborhood.
